Pink Mercy

Pink Mercy Background

Pink Mercy is one of the most popular skins in Overwatch. Originally released in 2018, the skin was part of a promotion Blizzard was running at the time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Players could purchase it for $14.99 in the store from May 8 to May 21. Proceeds in the total amount of $12.7 million were donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). In addition to the skin, there have been other rewards such as Pink Mercy icons and sprays. These were awarded for playing during the event as well as for watching specific Overwatch charity streams.

Pink Mercy Appearance

Aside from being made for a good cause, Pink Mercy was also extremely popular for its stunning design. Mercy wears a unique split braid hairstyle. Her wings have a cool sci-fi character and the edges glow with pink energy. The overall look of the Pink Mercy skin gave the popular support heroine a futuristic look that balanced both strength and femininity, making her a direct symbol of the fight against breast cancer.

Pink Mercy Availablity

Despite pleas and campaigns from Overwatch fans, the Pink Mercy skin was never purchasable again. Some have even pointed to the release of the Nintendo Switch version of Overwatch as an opportunity to reintroduce it, as those players never had a chance to get their hands on it. Unfortunately, those pleas have yet to be answered. We aren’t sure if this exclusive skin will ever be released again. Currently, the only way to get the Pink Mercy skin is to purchase an account that has already unlocked the skin.
